Pickup and drop off times:

When dropping off a student, please drive around to the back of the school between the hours of 8:10 AM and 8:20 AM. If you arrive later than 8:20 you must bring your child into the office and sign them into school.
When picking students up, please contact the school of that fact by 2:45 pm of that day and be at the school by 2:55 PM. (Do not e-mail pick up notes)

If you send someone to pick up your child at anytime during the school day, we need to have a written note from you giving us permission to release your child to that person. Persons listed on the emergency contact card also need a written note from you.

Transportation notice:

If your child needs to get off at a bus stop other than his/her regularly assigned stop one day, a note from both parties is required. That means a note from the parent of the child who is getting on/off at a different location and a note from the adult responsible at the alternate bus stop.

Please notify the office if it is necessary to schedule a bus change, as these changes need to be approved by the Director of Transportation prior to taking place. Only in emergency situations will a bus change be considered.

Student absences:

Please call 382-4220 and press "1" by 8:50 am in the morning to report your student's absence. Please give your child's name, teacher and reason for absence. If you would like us to send homework home with another student, please give us his/her name and teacher - or -If you prefer to pick it up towards the end of the day, leave that message also.

written excuse note or Online Attendance Excuse Card is needed for all student absences. This is in addition to calling the school that morning. An automated telephone call will be made to your designated phone number to report the absence of your child if we have not heard from you. Another call will be made after a few days if we still have not received an absence excuse note in the office or online. You do not have to wait for a "Report of Student Absence" card to come home, a note can be written on any type of paper. If an excuse note is not received within five days the absence will be coded as unlawful.

Ten or more absences from school (whether it is excused, unexcused or unlawful) is considered excessive. A letter will be sent home notifying you that a doctor's note will be required for all additional absences. The absence will be marked Unlawful if a doctor's note is not received.

Please be reminded that after three (3) Unlawful absences, a citation may be filed with the district magistrate.
